Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the CVgenZ web application (cvgenz.com) and the CVgenZ Android app (together, "CVgenZ" or the "Service"). CVgenZ is provided by the independent developer Eda Sivri. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
CVgenZ is an online tool that lets you create, store, preview and download resumes (CVs) in Turkish and English as PDFs. The Service is currently free. If paid add-on features are offered in the future, they will be clearly marked and your consent will be requested before any charge. Core features such as creating a CV and downloading it as a PDF will remain free.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and verify your email address.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been used without permission, change your password immediately and let us know at support@cvgenz.com.
3. Your content belongs to you
All information and content you add to your CVs (including photos) belongs to you. You grant us permission to use this content only to provide the Service to you (storing it, displaying it, converting it to PDF). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use, sell or publish your content for any other purpose.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content is accurate and does not infringe the rights of others (e.g. copyright or personal rights). In particular, you should not add other people's personal data or images you do not have the right to use.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- impersonate others or commit fraud by creating false or misleading CVs;
- store content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or infringes the rights of others;
- attempt to bypass the Service's security, access other users' data, overload the Service or abuse it with automated tools;
- reverse engineer the Service or resell it commercially without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
5. Intellectual property
The CVgenZ software, design, CV templates, logo and name belong to us. You are free to use the CVs you create with the Service for your own job applications and career.
6. Availability of the Service
We make reasonable efforts to provide the Service without interruption or errors, but we cannot guarantee this. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates or technical issues. We may change, improve or remove features. We recommend regularly keeping a copy of your CVs on your own device, using the Export JSON button in the Data & Privacy card on your profile page, or the PDF export.
7. Limitation of liability
CVgenZ is a CV-building tool; it is not a job search, placement or career counselling service. "ATS-friendly" templates are designed to make your CV easier for applicant tracking systems to read, but no outcome of any job application is guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time with the Delete Permanently button in the Data & Privacy card on your profile page. When you delete your account, your account and all your CVs (including those in the trash) are deleted immediately and permanently; deleted data cannot be recovered. CVs you delete individually stay in the trash for 30 days and can be restored during that time. Details: Privacy Policy, section 8. If you seriously breach these terms, we may close your account, with prior notice where possible.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. As a consumer, you retain your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. If you live in the European Union, you also retain the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
